Dave Gorman, a Flickr user, whose picture was taken by a false DMCA notice, is struggling with Flickr to get, if nothing else, change the way you handle requests for demolition. Stock Gorman, with your comments and opinions, removed from the base of the "strength" of the dispersion-shot DMCA Degban issued, allegedly on behalf of producers of pornography Wasteland.

Obviously, the image has not been held by Wasteland. While CEO Degban still claim that it is the result of having their software pirated (despite the fact that the alleged piracy occurred 12 days

after

the notice of withdrawal has been issued), Flickr has mainly responded with ... nothing. Flickr Sometimes Deletes Your Content Even Though They Don't Have To

Flickr
system for processing applications DMCA is even more fucked up than the DMCA process itself, if it can be believed. Gorman, an artist who has developed a flowchart illustrating the usefulness screwed Flickr users is whether they should be on the receiving end of a DMCA.

On the bright side, if you are a resident of the United States. and demolition is a document by an American company, all that will happen is the self-image will be deleted and replaced by a message saying "This image has been removed due to prosecution for copyright infringement . "Once everything is set, it's just a question of restoring the image if the DMCA notice is successfully challenged. (From the Flickr Help Forum.)

What does this mean

- United States. members will receive a warning that contains the complainant's name and will now include a link to the image content has been removed.

- The original image is saved on Flickr. If you receive notification from the computer of the author of the United States to replace the original, we will be able to. *** Please, can do so provided that the original photo.gne left in place. If a member chooses to remove the page from photo.gne we assume that this is the most concerned, such as image restoration. ***

- The current title, description, comments, tags, ratings, etc. available. The still image can be added to sets and groups

-. This blog, click Edit in Picnic, "replace this image" and EXIF ??information is disabled

-. The image will be marked NIPSA and as such will not return search results or available in the API.

For the rest of the world
- The current process of removing the photo will continue. Starting to get to the author of other regional teams to see if they would like to pass this function where they are. Since the process is unique to counter the DMCA, we will discover how the image restoration elsewhere.
