When it comes to DRM, there's nothing more boring and hated the DRM that requires a constant Internet connection. This DRM regularly pinging a server controlled by the game's creator to show you, the paying customer who paid the money to buy the game, not a dirty pirate. One of the strongest critics of this type of DRM is what happens when the DRM can not connect to server. We have already seen what happens with Ubisoft games when a server crash unexpectedly. The players were not too excited about it. Now we learn that Ubisoft is trying to give their customers who pay a different perspective on why these DRM systems are a real bad idea. Ubisoft will be making their authentication servers down on Tuesday, February 7 for an unspecified amount of time.

Too bad that Ubisoft is not to improve its services by not forcing customers to pay to prove they are not dirty pirates. Ubisoft could go further to thank your customers, but follows the same path of DRM.
This server migration is just one example of what happens when content creators are based in this type of DRM in its fight against piracy. This is a sample of what will happen when Ubisoft decides it does not bother to support these authentication servers. When these servers turn off definitively, all customers who pay legally will not be able to play your games again. However, hackers will be able to play DRM never stopped to begin with the
